Early game was a bit of a blowout but the late game was exciting and well played.

In the early game both teams were a bit short to start but enough runners straggled in to allow for some rest between shifts. Team Sharley (mostly IanG) pulled ahead early and never relinquished the lead – ahead 5-1 at the end of one, 8-4 at the end of 2, and 12-6 to end the game.

In the late game Team Jacquie scored early and often but Team Lia kept replying – the 1st period ending with Team J leading 3-2. In the 2nd Team J was leading 5-2 for a short time but Team Lia kept picking away at their lead and the 2nd period ended with the teams tied 5-5. In the 3rd, defense was the name of the game – Team Lia scored 1 near the middle of the period to finally pull ahead and Team Jacquie was left to try to score the equalizer. Lots of shots but none connected. A late DylanE goal dashed any hopes of a Team J comeback and the game ended with a comeback win, 5 unanswered goals for Team Lia – 7-5 over Team Jacquie. Fast game with lots of good ball movement…fun.

Team Dirka  vs.  Team Jacquie     8:00pm  –  9:00pm.

Team Sharley  vs.  Team Lia     9:00pm  –  10:00pm.

On a side note we have need for a scorekeeper/timekeeper for the next 2 weeks and likely a few more random Wednesdays through the summer- if you know of anybody interested/available (>12 years old, some familiarity with lacrosse, $15/hr x 2hr) – please email me to coordinate.
