Another hot night at Nichols and with low bench numbers, everyone was struggling…

In the early game both teams were short runners, with Team Sharley (3) in worse shape than Team Jacquie (8). With the loan of a couple of runners to Team Sharley,the game started with 11 runners total, 1 spare only for Team Jacquie! As expected the game was close with the teams being tied at the end of every period. Final score Team Sharley 7 – Team Jacquie 7.

In the late game both teams were short at the start and a few masochistic early game players helped out. In a back and forth game Team Dirka started hard and led 4-2 at the end of the 1st but Team Lia clawed back to lead 7-6 at the end of 2. In the 3rd the heat seemed to dominate but Team Dirka pulled away late in the game, outscoring Team Lia 6-3 in the period. Final score Team Dirka 12 – Team Lia 10… at least that is what the scoresheet said – the heat and 4 shots off the helmet made the whole evening sort of …fuzzy.

Team Sharley  vs.  Team Dirka     9:00pm  –  10:00pm.

Just a heads up – August 7 is the last Wednesday at Nichols. The CoL in its infinite wisdom is moving us back to Kinsmen for the final 3 weeks of the season. You have been warned…and will be warned again… and again. Starting thinking on the betting line of how many people will show up at the wrong arena… on August 14 and total over the 3 week period.
